Pre-Determination of Insurance Benefits
Following your assessment and diagnosis visit, the results of your study will be sent to your insurance company for a pre-determination of benefits under your insurance policy. Our pre-determinations team is your advocate during the approval process. We continually monitor the status of your request, including phone calls to your insurance provider.
Approval typically takes 4–6 weeks. Once you begin treatment, we file charges directly to your insurance provider. You only pay what is required by your plan: usually a co-pay or co-insurance and deductible.
We try to make this as simple for the patient as possible. Once your insurance approves the procedure, we can then proceed with treatment. Decatur Vein Clinic accepts most insurance including Medicare. For any payment due beyond insurance, we will accept cash, check, debit and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express). We also now accept Care Credit, a convenient way to manage your healthcare payments.
